Penquin was tasked to conceptualise a television campaign for the launch of the new Suzuki Swift. The initial campaign aimed at “getting more than you expected” allowed the viewer to experience the excitement of expecting one thing and then getting more than they bargained on. The Bachelor, one commercial in a series of three, depicts a young ordinary man waking up after a night out on the town. To his surprise he wakes up to not one, but two blondes in his bed. Taking a moment to realise his luck, he notices a third woman walking through the door with coffee for them all. This particular series of commercials shared a story and sentiment of exhilaration and excitement at receiving something one simply wasn’t expecting. Much the same as the new Swift – everything you’ve come to know and love about the Swift, but with so much more.
